Notable New Releases in October

in New Releases

After September‘s massive introduction to an autumn of epic fall reading, October is carrying the tourch with some wonderful diversity. There are so many interesting titles this month (in my opinion) that I just couldn’t narrow it down much more than what you see. Iconic names like Danielle Steel, John Grisham, Dennis Lehane, Nelson DeMille, Patricia Cornwell and Justin Cronin all have upcoming releases, and there’s a host of unique debuts as well. Orhan Pamuk’s Silent House isn’t new – it was originally published in 1983, his second novel – but it’s available this month for the first time in English, so I thought it was a very relevant book to include. Another of my very much anticipated releases for the month, which isn’t on the list simply because I don’t know its exact release date, is Christine Nolfi‘s Second Chance Grill, the second book in her beloved Liberty series. You can find more information and follow Christine for the details leading up to its release. On the list here I’ve also added a new category for the already-upcoming Holiday 2012 titles – it’s early, I know! There are books about books (The End of Your Life Book Club, The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap), books about icons (Mick Jagger, Hello, Gorgeous, Alexander McQueen), and books about everything in between – even a dose of highly-acclaimed poetry from Mary Oliver.
